Digital Strategies for Prevention of Psychosis and its Consequences

Psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia impose a substantial disease burden at both the individual and societal levels. Early intervention holds potential in adverting progression and improving prognosis.

However, identifying and engaging individuals at very early stages of psychosis has shown to be challenging, even with strong outreach. Therefore, a set of digital screening tools for psychosis risk has been developed.

Aims

This project aims to evaluate and implement these digital preventative tools across various healthcare settings and communities to significantly improve the early identification of individuals at clinical high risk for psychosis and the assessment of associated health risks.

(Expected) results

By addressing these needs, the project contributes to early detection, intervention, and overall management of psychotic disorders, thereby reducing their substantial societal and individual burdens.
