Integrated care pathway for people with epilepsy based on an AI-powered telemedical system
SEIN is a tertiary care centre for the treatment of complex epilepsy. For treatment of epilepsy, several types of anti-seizure medication are given to reduce the severity and frequency of seizures. Insight in the frequency and severity of seizures are obtained by seizure diaries. However, these diaries are often inaccurate. Thics leads to inaccurate information.
Aims
This project aims to develop a platform that can be used to monitor seizures at home, using mobile devices and algorithms. Additionally, patients and different care providers can use the platform to communicate with each other about managing epilepsy. This can increase the quality of care for people living with epilepsy.
(Expected) results
SEIN will contribute with requirements for such a platform, execute a clinical study to test this platform and analyse the results.
