Opleidingstraject Fellowship Implementation Science Practitioner (ISP)
De ontwikkeling van innovaties in de gezondheidszorg gaat snel en de toepasbaarheid ervan neemt elke dag toe. De implementatie van nieuwe innovaties verloopt echter vaak niet vanzelf. Daarom is er een sterke behoefte aan experts die kennis uit implementatieonderzoek kunnen integreren in de praktijk om innovaties in de zorg effectief te realiseren.
Om aan deze behoefte te voldoen, ontwikkelen we een opleidingsprogramma voor experts, ook wel Implementation Science Practitioners (ISP) genoemd. Vervolgens nemen 41 ISP’ers deel aan het ISP-opleidingsprogramma (18 maanden). De ISP-opleiding is gebaseerd op het competentieprofiel voor Implementation Support Practitioners en bestaat uit vier programmalijnen:
- Persoonlijke ontwikkeling als ISP’er
- Implementation science
- Nederlandse gezondheidszorg in transformatie
- Portfolio en implementatieplan
De ISP’er slaat de brug tussen onderzoek en praktijk en verbetert daarmee de zorg voor patiënten en cliënten.

The implementation of new innovations in healthcare often does not happen automatically. Therefore, there is a strong need for experts who can integrate knowledge from research into practice in order to effectively realize innovations in healthcare.
Objective
The objective is to develop a training program for implementation experts, also known as Implementation Science Practitioners (ISPs).
Approach
The ISP training program (18 months) is based on the competency profile for Implementation Support Practitioners and consists of four program lines:
- Personal development as an ISP
- Implementation science
- The Dutch healthcare system in transformation
- Portfolio and implementation plan
A total of 37 ISPs successfully completed the ISP training program. In total, 19 training sessions were organized: 10 online meetings of half a day and 9 in-person sessions lasting one or two days. The competencies required for an ISP were strongly developed, and carrying out an individual (de-)implementation case proved to be a powerful learning method.
