PREGmatic: the right pregnancy care at the right place
PREGmatic is a project focused on quaternary prevention of pregnancy complications, by improving pregnancy care using remote digital telemonitoring solutions, across Europe.
Aims
The goal is to ensure pregnant women receive care in the right setting—outpatient care when possible, and inpatient care when needed—while using AI to support clinicians in making informed decisions.
Methods
The project targets high-risk pregnancies with preeclampsia, preterm prelabor rupture of membranes without contractions, diabetes, fetal growth restriction, recurrent reduced fetal movements, fetal anomaly requiring daily monitoring and subsequent hospital admission, or fetal death in a previous pregnancy. The study will compare the effectiveness of these new remote digital pregnancy care pathways with traditional methods in four hospitals across Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
(Expected) results
Results will provide insights into how technology and data can improve care, prevent overmedicalization, and ensure timely and appropriate support for pregnant women.
