Eindverslag

In de klinische praktijk worden voorspelmodellen gebruikt om prognoses te kunnen bepalen voor individuele patiënten. Ontwikkelen en testen van dergelijke modellen is onderdeel van prognostisch onderzoek. Deze persoonlijke subsidie geeft mij de mogelijkheid een nieuwe stap te zetten in de methodologieontwikkeling van prognostisch onderzoek met geclusterde patiëntengegevens. Gegevens zijn geclusterd als patiënten bijvoorbeeld behandeld zijn in verschillende centra. Patiënten van hetzelfde centrum hebben meer gemeen dan patiënten van verschillende centra. Gegevens zijn ook geclusterd als een patiënt meerdere keren dezelfde ziekte krijgt zoals een tweede of derde tumor in de blaas. Samen met 2 collega’s ontwikkel ik methoden voor prognostisch onderzoek met geclusterde patiëntengegevens met als ultieme doel accuratere voorspellingen voor de patiënt.
